A New Shrek Movie after "Shrek : The Final Chapter"?

Singapore, 30th May:- With the final installment in the Shrek movie franchise (Shrek : The Final Chapter) finally out, many fans are sad to finally bid their green ogre hero goodbye. Shrek have in fact proved to many people that although you're green and fat, you still can generate lots of cash, a feat no one can achieve in the real world. That alone have inspired many to faithfully follow the Shrek franchise because they can learn how to get rich and famous easily, minus the final part where Shrek discovered not only he did not become handsome but his princess became and ogre of course. (If i was Shrek, i would have jumped out from the window during the final scene in the movie)

The people at Dreamworks are also depressed because of the fact that they have to finally let go one of their finest creation. However, the author of Lukey Ranting's suspect that losing the chance to earn tons of money by using the green ogre idea again and again is the main reason why people at Dreamworks are mainly depressed. For many others on the other hand, finally seeing the end of a green ogre who over-appear in the silver screen is a cause to celebrate. (No more green ogre, yeah!)

Recently however, rumors have been circulating in the cyberspace that producers at Dreamworks have in fact not yet gave up on their green "cash generating machine". There have been allegedly talks going on between Dreamworks and a Singapore registered to produce a sequel to the final installment of the movie. Yes, a sequel.

This time however, Dreamworks plan to change the entire concept of the movie to more of an Asian one. According to a Dreamworks spokesman, the new concept is aimed to attract more Asian viewers who never seen Shrek before to finally experience the green thing everyone is talking about. The spokesman also added that the majority of the people in America and Europe have begun to grow sick of Shrek and they have no choice but to tap into the Asian market. Dreamworks also plan to release a 400 episode Shrek drama series as another project if the Asian Shrek movie is successful.

So what will the next Shrek Asian movie be like? Sources have yet to confirm the exact storyline and cast but Dreamworks have agreed to to reveal part of the upcoming Shrek poster as publicity effort to try to create more buzz for the final Shrek movie after the so called final Shrek movie now in cinemas.

Poster for the final final (really!) Shrek movie in Asia.

p/s: I'm really doing this because i simply do not understand the logic of trying to have too many movies of the same title

My First Wii Encounter

They don't make video games like they used to. What happened to the good old days where playing video games only involved sitting in front of the TV with a video game console and all you had to do was to just move one or two fingers at most?

I've heard before that the Nintendo Wii requires some movement to play, but i never imagined the amount of action involved. By the end of my first Wii experience in Carolyn's house, i was panting like a dog. I think they should have at least included a warning sign for the typical video game players who do not exercise much like me.

I'm Gonna Photoshop Myself!

Girls really have it easy in life. Especially in the blogging world.

While us male bloggers have to squeeze and twist our brain to come up with an entertaining post, female bloggers have it much easier. Just post a few Photoshopped pictures of yourself and you'll have people flocking to your blog. Which got me thinking, if the girls can do it, why can't the guys?

Like they say, if you can't beat them, join them. So for today's post, i'm gonna turn myself from this :-

The oh-so-not-handsome Lukey

into something like this! :-

Look so pretty right? No wonder all the guys flock to her blog.

Transforming in progress... 0%
... 10%

... 20%

... 46%

... 67%

... 92%

TRANSFORMATION COMPLETE...

Ready or not, introducing the new, prettier handsome-er and Photoshopped Lukey!
Just like all the female bloggers out there!

Ta-daa!!

Hmm... i think i'm doing something wrong here.

What happens when you sit too long in front of a computer...

A few days back i was complaining about how busy i was with my hostel's exposure camp. Now that is finished, i'm complaining about how bored my room can be. At least i found that by sitting in front of your computer for a few hours without moving, something extraordinary can happen.

Like growing a spiderweb on your head.

Random 3 am Rant

2.50 am.

Still not asleep yet as my sleeping place is taken by a pretty girl called Erin. Apparently she has to wait for her sister, Eunice, to come back from clubbing to have a room to enter. The other guys are also fast asleep already while i'm stuck here updating my blog randomly. Learned the hard way that squeezing four people in a double room is never a good thing. Because you run out of sleeping space easily.

Exposure camp has finally ended. It had been a tough journey making this camp a success. Thanks to the camp, i now have a permanent eye shadow make up on my face.

Does this guy here...

...look pretty much like me now?

I think i'm just gonna drop dead on the table.

p/s: Wei Wen, i miss you soooo much...

Eusoff Hall Exposure Camp Closure Video

Been so busy lately. Was involved with Eusoff Hall's first ever exposure camp aimed at preparing NUS freshmen for hall life. Involved in the planning team. Experienced many ups and downs along the way. Must say that although it is very tiring, it was very fun. Learned a lot from my experience here.

Not going to elaborate much first. I have been getting less than 5 hours per sleep everyday. Just going to post the closure video for Eusoff Hall exposure camp here to let you all see roughly what i did.

Photos will be uploaded soon! Video was done by me! XD
Will be going out tonight again!!

My 1+ day KL Trip

My friend asked me whether i wanted to go KL to help him on NUS welcome tea ceremony. I will be in Singapore during that period. Plus i need to return immediately after that welcome tea. Which means i will be stuck in a bus most of the time covering hundreds of kilometers in 2 days.

I said yes anyway.
I love doing random stuff.

And KL could be so fun. Because there's so much things to do. Things like:-

Sitting in a real empty bus from SG to KL

Getting stuck in a typical KL traffic jam

Went to a restaurant called Madam Kwan's at KLCC...

...and did not realize how expensive the foods can get there. It's RM 15.30 for a frigging nasi lemak!! Gosh...

Guess what is this?

It's a phone! (I thought it was a remote control! Tried to switch on the TV with it >.<)

Walked to Concorde Hotel and KLCC with a bunch of reds.

Participated in the NUS welcome tea. I'm finally a university undergraduate senior. Sobs... i never thought i could have the chance to enter university and stayed for so long

Look at all the future NUS Malaysian freshmen!

Anxious future students along with anxious parents of future students

Gave a talk to the future freshmen regarding hall life in NUS. Promoted Eusoff Hall, of course. Too bad i got nervous halfway and gg-fied the rest of the speech. Well, couldn't say i'm any good speaker to begin with.

The rest of the NUS MSL welcome tea team!

Spent a large portion of money on meal again. These "things" cost me RM 24.95. Grr...

And last but not least, i also witnessed a historic event! Guess what was that?

Independence Day!

Whee!

Rambo fighting Jealous Stalkers?

Somehow i have the tendency to attract jealous boyfriends, admirers and stalkers of my friends all the time. If you all have been following my blog for some time now, i'm sure some of you will remember about my LOL posts about the jealous Philippine boyfriend.
( Click here for the Laugh Out Loud Posts: Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3)

This time, after getting attached, i have to deal with the jealous-angry-boyfriend again. Only this time the jealous-angry-boyfriend took the form of a stalker-rumor-spreader-idiot. Just 3 days into my relationship with Wei Wen, i'm already battling rumors of me having a girlfriend in Singapore and i'm a player (ermmmm??). Not satisfied with that, the stalker-rumor-spreader-idiot (let's call him SRSI) also proceeded to send an email to me.
Click for a better view

For those who cannot see the message, it basically writes:-

"Hello. I'm from Sam Tet. First of all would like to say congratulation to you to have Wei Wen as your girl friend. Actually, it is not a good thing. It is because Wei Wen is still struggling for her Form 6. She's not stable at all. Next, she can't really pay full attention in her studies, dreaming all the time. Besides that, she does not like to have a partner which is in long distance, like other girls do. Sometimes, her emotion is not stable too and she's just 17, not yet 18. For now, I think study is very important for her as she's in the first class of Biology in Sam Tet. 2 years of STPM studies are not like others. It is not easy. If can, she wants to be a doctor. She just started her studies. If she has no strong basic knowledge, she might not survive in STPM, which means a 3.8 student. She would like to study in NUS too. If she can do well, she might get a nice place in NUS and you both can be together. It's too young for her. I'm not here to break your relationship but just telling you the situation rationally. I'm her friend and I care for her, and I do, care for you. Hope you enjoy your life in Singapore and study well. Thank you.

Yours Sincerely."

LOL right? A random guy writing to your email complaining to you about your new girlfriend. I must admit that i'm not very experienced in love matters and i'm not sure whether receiving rumors and angry emails are part of the package of getting attached. Common sense dictates that it is best if i ignore the email. For entertainment purposes (and of course of the sake of my gf), however, i decided to reply the email.

"Dear Diamond Ring (or whatever your name is since you did not include it in the email),

Thank you for your congratulations (or rather not) and your concern in regards of me getting attached to Wei Wen. I must say you have provided me with much information (that i did not ask for) about Wei Wen and i must thank you for being such a good friend (pun intended) of hers to back-stab her in front of me. However, i think you're missing a few important points in your email that i would like to seriously highlight to you.

One. She's my girlfriend. Which means no matter what others (especially good friends like you, pun intended again) tell me about her, i still trust her. When i chose to start this relationship, i know what are the risks and what am i getting into. And as her boyfriend, no matter what she does or how bad she is, i will still love her. Because that is what makes her special. And FYI, i must say you really suck at back-stabbing. The next time you want to do it, please include more concrete proof rather than just making false allegations. Take a picture. Or show me her grades. Then maybe i'll believe you. Maybe.

Second. I am an ex-Form 6 student myself. So i know what is Form 6 life like. There's is no need for you to lecture me on how hard life could be. If a slacker like me can go through SMI (which in the eyes of you Sam Tet boys sucks) without a scratch and even proceeding to NUS with a girlfriend my entire life in Form 6, i'm sure Wei Wen will do fine. Plus, even i have not yet start to worry, why should you?

Thirdly, please stop harassing both me and Wei Wen. I'm not sure if you're the same guy who keeps text-ing Wei Wen's mum hoping to win her mum over and keeps hanging out her house but i'm pretty sure you're the same guy. Stop. I don't know what Wei Wen did to make you go crazy over her (because i assume that medic students, as who you claim you are, studying in UNIMAS should be quite smart) but please slap yourself 2 times on your cheeks and wake up. There more you try to wreak havoc in this relationship, the more loser you become in my eyes. Why not just save some respect (or what's left of it) for yourself and act like a man.

And please don't act as if you know everything and you're doing this for the good for the both of us. It would just make you look stupider. But well, at least you can get featured in my blog. And guess what? You'll be famous! I hope that is what you want. Because i seriously can't stand you already for bullying my gf.

Get a life dude.

Yours sincerely,
Luke
(At least i dare to include my name)"

Sometimes getting into a relationship just make me feel like Rambo trying to fight off all the evil people to protect his girlfriend. Okay, he was not protecting his girlfriend, but you get the idea.

Maybe i should just bomb his house.

Lukey's Love Story?

Since the day my relationship status changed from single to this

I've been bombarded with questions, teasing and loud exclamations of disbelief from my friends. Such was the initial shock that i got near to 50+ comments from my friends in Facebook. Seems like most of my friends did not think that i would get attached so suddenly. Believe me, i did not expect anything like this to happen too.

Thanks to the fact that i own a blog plus the fact that i'm trying to increase traffic to my blog indirectly, i can save myself the trouble of explaining again and again to all my friends regarding my sudden relationship status change. Which means this post might be a bit personal. Not to mention that it might get a little wordy too.

To make things easier, i'll make the explanation story like! So sit tight and pay attention as Uncle Lukey is here to tell you the full story behind Luke's sudden relationship change!

Uncle Lukey *coughs*

Before i start my story, of course, we shall need a hero. In this case the hero undoubtedly would be me, since it's my story, so please don't complain. FYI, i at least starred in a few movies before as:

Lukey Potter!

The story takes us all back to the year 2006, 4 years ago, in a small town located in Malaysia called Ipoh. Our hero, Lukey, was still in his teenage years, naive but still handsome as always. Thanks to a television set in his house, Lukey learned that it is good to always have a pretty girl by your side to call your girlfriend. The message gets further reinforced in the place where Lukey studies, due to the fact that many of his friends constantly showed off their pretty girlfriends.

Equipped with a computer, a cheapskate dial up connection and the online tools of that time (ICQ, Friendster), Lukey embarked on a journey to know as many girls as he can and hopefully score one in the process. Sadly, Lukey did not do very well on the scoring part. But he did meet a girl called Wei Wen in the process. And well, they became friends., sort of.

Well, that was four years ago. Fast forward to the present, Lukey is now happily (or should i say stress-fully) studying in NUS while Wei Wen just finished her SPM examinations in Ipoh. Both of them were still friends, chatting, telling lame jokes, hot jokes and jokes that can combat global warming over MSN occasionally.

During the Lukey's Chinese New Year break, he went back to Ipoh and managed to meet up with Wei Wen in a McDonalds together with her friends. And there, he saw her for the first time.

The McD (or Macs) in Gunung Rapat

To cut the story short, it can be said that the feelings of attraction began from there. The frequencies of the MSN chats increased and whenever Lukey manages to have a chance to chat with her on MSN, he feels happy. This is because honestly, Lukey sucks at MSN chatting. I think in the whole wide world there are less than 10 girls who can chat continuously with Lukey for 10 minutes without getting bored halfway. Which is why Lukey enjoys the occasional MSN with Wei Wen because she did not get bored.

Of course, with so much distance separating two of them, Lukey never put much thought into furthering the relationship and just let everything go by itself. Another three months past and it's time for Lukey to head back home again. He and Wei Wen agreed to meet up again, together with their friend Hui Guo, and maybe catch a movie at the same time. Ip Man 2 was chosen because Lukey was too terrified to watch Nightmare On Elm Street (embarassed >.<).

This time however, there's a little twist to their little date. A few weeks earlier, Lukey and Wei Wen were having their usual lame joking and cock talking in MSN. The topic somehow drifted to how shy Lukey can be in front of girls he never met before and ended with a dare from Wei Wen.

Back into the cinema during Ip Man 2, aside from enjoying Ip Man's fight moves, Lukey was also thinking about Wei Wen's dare. She never mentioned about it the entire day. Lukey wonders if she had forgotten it. During the scenes of Sammo Hung dying, Lukey saw his chance. He leaned over and planted a kiss on her cheek. He did his dare! And that's when all the feelings got confused.

The cinema incident was never mentioned again after the movie. It seems like a bit awkward to discuss about it. So the incident passed and Lukey went back to Singapore again. But what happened inside the cinema kept lingering inside his head. He had so many questions but no one to answer it.

Of course, none of questions got answered. Which finally brings us to the climax of the whole story. While he was busy browsing Facebook one night, Lukey saw that Wei Wen changed her relationship status. It did not mention who she was with at first so curious, Lukey messaged her and asked for the identity of that lucky guy. He found out that there was in fact no lucky guy and the relationship status change was just deter potential stalkers from harassing her.

Lukey, being always playful and mischievous, suggested to Wei Wen that why not he become her temporary fake boyfriend. Of course, Lukey wasn't really hoping to just become a temporary fake boyfriend but hoped for more. She said yes and the status was changed. The story got pretty well known starting from there. And due to Lukey's secret hope, he did not explain much on the first night.

The next day, while Lukey was in Jason's house in KL, the question of why not popped into his mind as he was chatting with her. He asked whether they could become a real couple instead of a fake one and voila, soon you had Lukey secretly jumping up and down inside his heart when he found out that she too had feelings for him. And you know how the story goes from there.
Thus this concludes our story telling time by Uncle Lukey!

Naive? Stupid? Just playing around? Too desperate? Crazy?

I know many will question me on the logic and wisdom used in making this decision I don't expect everyone to agree with my actions either. Neither can i stop you from judging, that's for sure. But i know that deep down inside me, i want this to happen. And since chance and fate both presented itself so perfectly together, i don't see why not.

I'm not saying that there will be problems ahead, in fact i know it'll be more but i'm willing to risk it. Even close proximity couples argue all the time. But i do not want to like a person just because she's closer in distance to me and i can see her everyday. If that was the case, we might as well marry our neighbors and be done with it.

I'm not gonna worry about the future too much either. Every relationships is bound to have its own problems. I choose to enjoy what i have now and leave the future to God. Like the saying that goes:
"Let Tomorrow's Worries Take Care of Itself".

And of course, i'm not able to guarantee that i'll be with her forever also. Promises like "Love You Forever" are nothing more that empty lies to make people feel better. I will however, try my best to make it forever. In case if things really did not end up the way i want to, well i could always return to being single for another year again.

*In High Pitch* Happy Birthday Twinnies Onggg !!

Birthdays are very important. Especially when the birthday hits an auspicious number like the 18th or 21st. And since my friend, Xian You, produced a very awesome video as a present to the two girls hitting 21 a few days ago, Erin and Eunice, or better known as the Twinnies, the competitive nature in me decided to dedicate a birthday post to both of you. Although it might be a bit late though  =P

Xian You's Video For The Twins

Before i start the post, of course the main actresses must first be introduced. Introducing the pretty and cutesy twin girls, Twinnies Ong!

Ops, sorry, wrong pair of twins.

The authentic pair of twins is here.
Erin and Eunice with the birthday present we gave. Specially designed T-Shirt!

The back of Erin's shirt. Those people represent us who gave her that shirt!

The back of Eunice's shirt.
The remaining people who did not get featured in Erin's shirt get's a place on Eunice's shirt

As i don't have the superb music composing skills like Xian You and as i can never sing without going way out of tune, i have do what i do best as an additional birthday present. A blog post!

"Alright, alright, listen to Mr Lukey now as he starts his special edition birthday rant..."

Turning 21 is a big thing. Because 21 means having the license to do things you can never to before when you were young. Things like:-

Gambling!

Helping to do a part for society. Like helping a friend who sucks at Dance Dance Revolution

Spending loads of time on a video console without getting nagged by mum

Indulging in simple pleasures of life like this brownie with ice-cream

However, although growing older is always associated with growing wiser and becoming more mature, some attributes in yourselves are best left unchanged. Attributes like:-

Acting cutesy! Because we could all use some cuteness aura sometimes.

Plus keeping up the "Whatever" attitude!

In conclusion, (feels like writing essay here),
Happy belated Birthday, Erin and Eunice!
Hope our friendship lasts as long as time permits! And hope two of you would always remain happy in life!

Sincerely,
The Ever Handsome Author of Lukey's Rantings,
Lukey!

Introducing Lukey Potter!

Remember my last post about writing my own book and maybe even starring in my own movie?

I know, it's a Harry Potter spin off. But i think every country needs it's own wizard, which is why i'll be Singapore's resident wizard studying in NUS (National University of Sorcerers).

My friend who saw the post thinks it's very funny and even gave me two signature spells to use!

Spell 1 : Colourus Pinkus
Turns everything pink. Scares the hell out of those guys who think pink is gay.

Spell 2 : I AM HANDSOME
Makes everyone vomit. Just to finish off the people who are not affected by the pink spell.

I guess what's left is to find a famous movie director and produce my own wizard film!
(Or write the novel if i have the time)
